Project 52 – Week 30 – Let’s Play
Friday morning means a new Project 52 post for you to feast your eyes on. Some of the members of the Beautiful Beasties Network (a professional pet photographers’ forum) are taking on the challenge of doing pet-related photography, with a theme that changes every week, for an entire year. The goal is to start shooting outside the box, to challenge ourselves as photographers and to expand our vision and talents. So far I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my participation, and I have learned to look at my dogs and their accoutrements in a different light (and at a different angle).
This week’s theme is play . . . what could be more fun for a pet photographer? Our pets are masters at enjoying life, and we photographers are lucky enough to get paid to catch those moments on film (or on memory card). Last week I was at the American Spaniel Club National Specialty (a show for Cocker Spaniels only) and I had two photo shoots scheduled. The heat was oppressive, the humidity stifling, and yet this young lady just wanted to have a good time.
I present to you Gemstonz Diamond Of My Eye – AKA Misty. Misty was bred by Lesley Doney and is owned by Jackie Horton.
As you can see, Misty was more interested in goofing off than sitting pretty
I think she’s sure that the wild, crazy googly eyes will be enough to put a stop to the shoot.
How about the super cute look? I just wanna have fun!
At this point, I gave up . . . we did finish the shoot, but it was in record time. Misty won in the end!
I you’ve enjoyed watching Misty having a great time. As this is a blog ring, please continue on to Blue Amrich Studio in Boston MA’s blog for more awesome photos . Once you’re done with Blue’s blog, keep clicking through the links at the end of each blog until you get back here, and you’ll have seen all of the Project 52 blog posts for this week.
