Project 52 – Week 15 – Favourite Things

Friday morning means a new Project 52 post for you to feast your eyes on.  Some of the members of the Beautiful Beasties Network (a professional pet photographers’ forum) are taking on the challenge of doing pet-related photography, with a theme that changes every week, for an entire year.  The goal is to start shooting outside the box, to challenge ourselves as photographers and to expand our vision and talents.  So far I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my participation, and I have learned to look at my dogs and their accoutrements in a different light (and at a different angle).

This week it was my turn to choose the theme, so I went with something that I thought would be fun.  I selected the theme “My Favourite Things” based on the song from the musical The Sound of Music.  I asked my fellow photogs to take pictures of their pets’ favourite things, with or without the pets being in the pictures.

For me, this was a no-brainer.  My youngest dog Jack Jack (yes, the Wild Thing from last week’s Project 52 post) adores children.  Adores is not a strong enough word, actually.  He lives for kids.  He loves me wholeheartedly . . . unless there is a kid around.  His breeder has two little girls and I have three nieces, so he’s never really had the opportunity to live a life without kids.

He started young, snuggling up to this gorgeous little girl at 4 weeks old . . .

Then he made an instant best friend with my youngest niece when he was about 4 months old . . .

Jack Jack & Friend

And just this past weekend, he charmed another young man.  I’m not sure whose smile is wider,  Jack Jack’s or the young man’s (Jack Jack is the dog on the right, on the left is my girl Grace)

Circle of Friends

I hope you’ve enjoyed sharing Jack Jack’s favourite thing with him today.  As this is a blog ring, please continue on to Boston Dog Photographer Kaylee Greer’s blog.  Keeping clicking through the links at the end of each blog until you get back here, and you’ll have seen all of the Project 52 blog posts for this week.
